How you get your results
Every result is read by a clinician before it reaches you, and anything that needs a conversation is a phone call, not a notification. Here is the route a sample takes and how long each test usually needs.

1. At the appointment
Your clinician tells you which tests, what they cost and when to expect each result. Bloods, ECG and most scans are done before you leave.
2. Same day
Samples go to the lab at 11:00 and 16:00. Full blood count, glucose and HbA1c run on our own analyser within the visit.
3. Result back
The duty GP or the requesting clinician reviews it, adds a plain-language comment, and releases it to your portal. Nothing is published unread.
4. If anything is abnormal
The clinician phones you within one working day and books the follow-up. In 2025 this happened on time in 99.8% of cases.
5. Afterwards
Results, letters and images stay in your portal. With your consent a copy goes to your NHS GP so their record is complete.

An abnormal result is never left for you to find. The clinician who ordered the test phones you within one working day, explains it, and books whatever comes next. If we cannot reach you we text and email asking you to call the front desk.
