What the first appointment includes.

- A consultant, never a registrar
- Any scan you need booked within 48 hours, often beforehand
- Tests done on the day where the room allows: ECG, endoscopy, hearing, bloods
- A written plan and a letter to your GP within two working days
- A fixed-price quote for any procedure, valid three months
- Rachel's team checking your insurer cover before you arrive
Insured patients need a GP referral for most consultations; self-pay patients do not. Not sure? Use the estimator or call.
Northgate Results · How you get your results5 steps
Every report, image and letter goes into your Northgate Results account the moment it is signed. You can share it with any doctor with one link. Nothing sits in a pile.
- On the dayUltrasound, X-ray, ECG and endoscopy: the clinician tells you what they saw before you leave.
- Within 2 working daysMRI and CT reports are signed by a consultant radiologist and appear in your account. You get a text and an email.
- The same working day, if it mattersAnything that needs urgent action is phoned through to you and your referrer by the reporting consultant, before the report is even typed up.
- Within 7 working daysBiopsies and histology. The consultant who took them calls you with the result and the plan.
- Any timeDownload the images, share a link with your GP, consultant or insurer, or ask for a results call with a consultant radiologist for £95.
If a scan or test shows something that needs action, the reporting consultant phones you the same working day and tells your referrer. You are never left to find bad news in an online account.
Moving or cancelling
Scans and consultations can be moved or cancelled up to 24 hours ahead at no charge. Endoscopy and day-surgery dates can be moved up to five working days ahead; later changes may incur a theatre fee stated on your quote.
