What happens
Hurt on Saturday, seen on Monday. The sports injury clinic runs every weekday from 07:00 and Saturday mornings, with two slots a day held back for acute injuries.
What happens
- Mechanism of injury, then a structured examination of the joint or muscle
- Diagnostic ultrasound in the room for muscle tears, tendons and ligaments
- A grade for the injury and a realistic return-to-sport window, in writing
- First-week plan: what to load, what to protect, when to run
- Referral for MRI or an orthopaedic opinion the same day if the examination says so
We write to your coach or club with your permission, and we test you before you go back rather than guessing.
Your plan, step by step.
1, then a block01
Day 1
Grade, protect, and a plan for the week
02
Week 1 to 2
Swelling down, range back, early loading
03
Weeks 2 to 6
Strength and control on the rehab floor, twice a week
04
Return-to-sport testing
Strength symmetry, hop tests and sport-specific drills before clearance
What the price covers
- 45 minutes with a sports physiotherapist
- Diagnostic ultrasound where useful
- Injury grade and return-to-sport window in writing
- First-week programme in the app
- Same-day MRI or orthopaedic referral if needed
- Letter to your coach or club on request
Right for
- Sprains, strains and tears from sport in the last six weeks
- A knee that swelled or gave way after a twist
- Recurring hamstring, calf or groin problems
- Any athlete from parkrun to national league
Not the right first call for
- Bone visibly out of place, or unable to put any weight on it: urgent care for an X-ray first
- Head injury or concussion (we will see you afterwards, but not first)
Risks, in plain words
- Tendons and ligaments heal on their own timeline; pushing early can set you back, which is why we test
- Some injuries need an MRI before a firm answer; we say so on day one
Last year, counted
91%of patients with a return-to-sport goal were back by 12 weeks in 2025 (demonstration data)
