Over-60s

Go.

For over-60s

Knees, hips, shoulders and backs that have earned their mileage, joint replacements, and the strength that keeps you walking, gardening and playing. A third of our patients are over 60 and the Over-60s Strong class is our fullest.

6 things over-60s should know about us.

  1. 01

    Post-op within a week

Hip and knee replacements, shoulder repairs: first session within seven days of surgery, at home if you cannot get in, then a plan matched to your surgeon's protocol.

  2. 02

    Arthritis is treatable

Osteoarthritis of the knee and hip responds to strength work better than to rest. We show you the exercises, measure the change, and know when to refer for a surgical opinion.

  3. 03

    Balance and falls

Two falls in a year, or a fear of falling, is a reason to come. Balance training on the rehab floor works, and we test it so you can see it working.

  4. 04

    The Over-60s Strong class

Wednesday 09:30 with Callum: eight people, chairs and reformers, strength that transfers to stairs and shopping. Tea after.

  5. 05

Ground floor, step-free, plinths that lower

Everything is on one level, the parking is at the door, and the plinths go down to chair height.

  6. 06

    Insurers and self-pay

Most policies cover physio after an operation with a referral. Self-pay follow-ups are £56, and the joint replacement block of eight sessions is £420.

Treat.
