PhysiotherapyWithin the week, often next day
Move.
Neck, back, shoulder, hip, knee, ankle and everything in between. A 45-minute first assessment with a plan you can read that evening, then as few follow-ups as it takes. Our audited average is 4.2 sessions to discharge.
Treat.
Within the week, often next day. Sessions, length and whether an insurer usually pays, on every row.
45 minutes with a chartered physio: diagnosis, treatment on the day and a plan in writing.

Urgency first, then the symptoms that bring people in and what we do about them. If a same-day line matches, do not wait for us.
Same day
Pressure on the bundle of nerves at the base of the spine. Rare, and an emergency.
Go to A&E now or call 999. Do not book physiotherapy first.
This week
The back that went while lifting, bending or for no reason at all. Alarming, common and almost always settles.
Keep moving gently, avoid bed rest, and book an assessment this week. Most people need two to four sessions.
This week
A nerve in the lower back irritated by a disc or a narrowed space, felt down the leg.
Assessment this week; we grade the nerve involvement and set a plan. Weakness that is getting worse is seen the same day.
Routine
The most common shoulder problem: tendons around the shoulder irritated by load, posture or a change in activity.
Assessment; ultrasound in the room if we need it. A loading programme over six to twelve weeks is the mainstay.
Routine
The shoulder capsule tightens and the joint stiffens over months. Painful first, then stiff, then it thaws. Slow but it does end.
Assessment to confirm it and rule out the joint itself. We treat the stiffness, and refer for a hydrodilatation injection when the pain phase is stubborn.
Meet.

Ask.
No. Book straight in. If your insurer needs a GP referral for physio, their policy will say so; most do not.
Something you can move in. Shorts for legs, a vest or strappy top for shoulders and backs. We have shorts and changing rooms if you forget.
No. Book straight in with any of our physios. Some insurers ask for a GP referral before they will authorise physiotherapy; Bupa, AXA Health and Vitality usually do not, but check your policy or ask Beth to check for you.
Injured today?
Phone and Beth answers. Tell her where it hurts and when you can come in; she finds the physio and the slot, and checks your insurer's rules before you arrive.
