5 steps, each timed.
Mole checks within 3 working days; same day if bleeding. Removal, if needed, is in our own room within the week; histology is phoned within five working days.
- 01Send a photo, or ringWhatsApp or upload a photograph and Claire replies within one working day: today, this week or routine. Or ring Rosie, who holds two same-day mole slots every weekday.Two minutes
- 02The checkA consultant dermatologist examines the mole, or all of them, with a dermatoscope. Photographs are stored. You leave with a verdict in writing: reassure, re-check, or remove.15 to 45 minutes
- 03Removal, if neededBooked within the week in our own minor operations room under local anaesthetic. Home the same hour. Everything removed goes to histology.20 to 45 minutes
- 04The resultThe surgeon phones you within five working days, whatever the histology says. Abnormal results come with a plan and a date, and a same-day NHS referral if it is a melanoma.5 working days
- 05AfterwardsStitches out with Claire, a scar review at three months, and a follow-up plan in writing: yearly for most, three-monthly in year one after a melanoma. A map next year if your moles need one.Ongoing

00Getting here
Train, car, bus, and after surgery.
Oakwood House is the red-brick villa with the oak by the gate, halfway up Chestnut Avenue on the left. Ring the bell at the front porch, or use the step-free garden entrance on Chestnut Lane behind the house. Eight minutes on foot from Copley Bridge station: cross the bridge, up Market Hill, and Chestnut Avenue is the second left.

By train
Copley Bridge station is an eight-minute walk: cross the bridge, up Market Hill, second left. Trains from Wexbury every 30 minutes, 18 minutes.

By car
Sat-nav to WX6 3AD. Four spaces on the drive, free on-street parking on Chestnut Avenue, and the Market Hill car park three minutes away at £1.20 an hour.

By bus
Routes 12 and 40 stop at the top of Chestnut Avenue, two minutes from the door.

After surgery
You can drive after a local anaesthetic unless the wound is on a hand, a foot or near an eye. For those, bring someone or ask Rosie to book a taxi.

Send the photo by WhatsApp to 01632 960951 or the upload form: one from thirty centimetres, one close up, in daylight, with a coin for scale. Claire will tell you whether it is today, this week or routine. If it bleeds, ring instead.
