Across 3,180 mole checks, 1,410 full-body checks and 620 mole maps.

22 at the earliest stage (in situ or under 1 mm). Eight were found only because a mole map showed change.

Phone call or photo to a consultant's verdict in the room. Same-day for 214 people who rang about bleeding or fast change.

Working days from excision to the surgeon phoning you. Urgent cases were reported in three.

148 basal and squamous cell carcinomas; six needed a second procedure.

Median reply within one working day. 43% were told a routine appointment was fine; 6% were seen the same day.

96 people completed a course; every one had the bloods and questionnaires on schedule; no pregnancies.

We publish it because a clinic that checks thousands of moles a year and reports no misses is not counting.
Method
Counted from the clinical record every January by Dr Marchetti and an external dermatology auditor, and reviewed at the monthly skin cancer meeting with our consultant dermatopathologist. Figures here are demonstration data for the template and are labelled as such on the page.
