Membership: the board, without the bill

The prescription is included in the appointment. You pay the pharmacy the private price of the medicine, which for most antibiotics, creams and short courses is a few pounds and sometimes less than the NHS charge. For expensive medicines we tell you the price before you decide, and where an NHS prescription would be much cheaper we say so.

Usually not for GP appointments: most UK policies exclude primary care, though some corporate schemes and add-ons include it. We give an itemised receipt to claim if yours does. Health screens are sometimes a policy benefit. Everything here is priced for paying yourself, and membership is the cheaper route if you come more than twice a year.
