A bench-top chemistry and haematology analyser in the lab behind reception. Full blood count, kidney, liver, HbA1c and lipids are run within four hours of the draw, so a screen result is on the GP's screen while you are in the room.

12-lead ECG and monitors
A 12-lead resting ECG trolley in the screening suite, read by the GP in the room, and 24-hour and 7-day monitors fitted the same day for palpitations that come and go. Cardiologist over-read within two working days when needed.

Logged vaccine fridge and yellow fever registration
A pharmacy-grade fridge with continuous temperature logging, holding every travel and routine vaccine on the price list, and the registration to issue international yellow fever certificates. Nothing is on order.

Point-of-care tests and the video platform
Throat swab, urine, pregnancy, CRP and rapid HIV tests with results in minutes; a dermatoscope for moles; and a video platform that sends the link by text, works on any phone and puts prescriptions at a pharmacy near you.
