If something is abnormal
An abnormal result never sits in an inbox. The analyser and the laboratory both flag it to the duty GP's phone; the GP reads it, phones you, and offers a same-day slot or a referral before the result is filed. Out of hours, the on-call GP does the same. If we cannot reach you, we keep trying and we write.

Can you really see me today?
Most days, yes. The board shows every free slot for every doctor; if there is a time on it, it is yours. Last year 94% of requests made before 11:00 on a weekday were seen that day in person, and every one by video. Ask before 11:00 and if we cannot see you that day, in person or by video, the appointment is free.
Can you give me a sick note?
Yes. A private fit note is signed by a GMC-registered GP and is accepted by every employer and university we have dealt with. It is included in any appointment, or £30 with a short video call. It covers from the day the doctor spoke to you; we can only backdate with evidence such as a hospital letter.
Will you have my NHS records, and will my NHS GP know I came?
We do not have your NHS record unless you bring a summary or give us permission to request one; tell the doctor what you take and what you have had. We send a summary of the appointment to your NHS GP with your consent, and we recommend it, so that the record is complete. Nothing is sent without your say-so.
How much does a prescription cost?
The prescription is included in the appointment. You pay the pharmacy the private price of the medicine, which for most antibiotics, creams and short courses is a few pounds and sometimes less than the NHS charge. For expensive medicines we tell you the price before you decide, and where an NHS prescription would be much cheaper we say so.
