What this is
Hearing aids are set up over several visits, not one. The two-week and six-week follow-ups are part of every fitting, and after that you come whenever a room, a voice or a telephone is still hard. Bring the list.
For aids bought here this is free for four years. For aids bought elsewhere, privately, we are happy to see you at £45, provided the maker lets us into the software, which most do. NHS aids are a different matter: we cannot re-programme them, but see the NHS hearing-aid check.
