45 minutes with Sophie, our GCC-registered chiropractor: examination, report of findings, first adjustment if appropriate.
Acute back pain today, otherwise within 48 hours

Chiropractic at the wharf is Sophie Marchand. Her first visit is a full case history, a neurological and orthopaedic examination, a plain-words report of what she found, and, if you agree and it is safe, a first adjustment on the day.
Both are regulated, hands-on and evidence-based. Sophie's treatment is centred on precise joint adjustments with shorter, more frequent follow-ups; the osteopaths use a wider mix of soft-tissue work, stretching and mobilising in longer sessions. Ruth and Sophie see each other's patients when it helps. If you are not sure which to book, the triage asks one question about it, or Grace will talk it through.
We do not X-ray routinely and will not sell you a course of 24 visits on day one.

What should I wear?
Something loose you can move in. For a back or hip we may ask you to strip to underwear or wear shorts; we have shorts and a gown, a towel covers you, and you can keep leggings on if you prefer. You can bring someone with you. Say what you are comfortable with and we work around it.

Follow-ups, per visit
The right choice if your plan is two or three visits.
Saves £16 on 4 visits
Saves £56 on 8 visits
After discharge, maintenance memberships from £42 a month.
Serious harm is very rare, but it is not zero, which is why Sophie asks about dizziness, visual changes and unusual headaches before treating a neck, and uses gentle mobilisation instead where there is any doubt. You can decline manipulation entirely and still be treated.
Almost never. We only ask for imaging when the examination finds something that needs ruling out, and then it is through your GP or a private referral, not sold on the day.
