What it is, in plain words.
Dry needling uses the fine needles of acupuncture to release a tight band of muscle that hands alone are slow to shift: the top of the shoulder, the buttock in sciatica, the calf. It is added within your appointment, not as a separate visit, by Ruth, Daniel or Karolina.
We use it for muscle pain and tightness; we do not claim it treats anything beyond that.
Added to 14% of osteopathy visits last year (demonstration data)
What should I wear?
Something loose you can move in. For a back or hip we may ask you to strip to underwear or wear shorts; we have shorts and a gown, a towel covers you, and you can keep leggings on if you prefer. You can bring someone with you. Say what you are comfortable with and we work around it.
