What it is, in plain words.
You have had treatment elsewhere that has not worked, or a scan with a report you do not understand, or two different diagnoses. An hour with Ruth is a fresh case history, a full examination, a look at any imaging reports you bring, and a written summary of what she thinks is going on and what she would do next, whether that is treatment here, a referral back to your GP for imaging or a specialist, or nothing.
About a third of second-opinion patients are told they do not need more hands-on treatment. That is the point of it.

What should I wear?
Something loose you can move in. For a back or hip we may ask you to strip to underwear or wear shorts; we have shorts and a gown, a towel covers you, and you can keep leggings on if you prefer. You can bring someone with you. Say what you are comfortable with and we work around it.

Can I bring my MRI?
Bring the report; if you have the images on a disc or a link, bring those too. We read them with you, but a radiologist's report is the authority on what the scan shows.
